Psi Activator

games about attention, intuition, and what arrives unbidden

Seventeen small games about the moment something turns up before you asked for it — a hunch, an urge, a light in the sky, a feeling in the stomach that got there before the thought did. They run in your browser, they are free, and most take about ten minutes.

Nothing is scored, nothing is timed, and nothing can be failed. No game here tests whether you have psychic ability and none claims to prove that anyone does — several are specifically about why one result never settles anything. Every screen has a stop button that ends whatever is running and asks no questions.

The Unbidden

sixteen small games · start here
A stone arch at dusk A knot of threads drawing tight Six roads meeting in a ring

A set rather than a single game. Each one does exactly one thing honestly, and they come in four groups.

Before you start is preparation: what you will and will not allow, in your own words. Noticing is the small repeatable stuff — a pendulum, an urge, a picture described before it is chosen. Six roads in takes the six routes people actually report — meditation, sleep and out-of-body states, instruments, CE-5 skywatching, psychedelics, and the long aftermath of trauma — with a game for each and one that maps where they agree. Where you are standing is the four that are not practices at all, but about the vantage point itself.

Super Spectrum

one longer game · about attention
A woven figure lifting into an octahedron Walking out through a field of light A field of finished figures

You are shown a pattern and invited to answer it — not by solving it, but by walking out into a field of light and coming back to where you began. Your path sets a pair of gears, and the gears draw the figure. Because the ratio is always a whole one, the figure always closes and is always symmetric: you choose which beautiful shape you make, never whether you get one. It lifts into the solid it turns out to have been the shadow of, and then stands in your Field, where you can walk out among everything you have ever made.

Try a sealed trial

twenty-five Zener cards

Every target is generated server-side with a real cryptographic random number generator and committed to a published hash before you make a single call, so the sequence provably could not have been changed after seeing your guesses. At the end you get your result set against the full range that chance alone produces over twenty-five calls — which is wider than almost anybody expects, and is the reason a single run settles nothing whichever way it lands.

Where the Work Is

a coded record of 112 artworks

People have been making art about anomalous experience for decades — films, novels, records, games — and nobody had written down what actually exists. This is a first attempt: every work coded for what it claims, how it tells it, and how far it travelled, so you can see the shape of the field and the holes in it. One finding stands out: work about what an experience did to a person reaches a broadcast audience roughly three times in a hundred. It is partial, the coding is second-hand, and corrections are the point.

The campaign

chapters, classes, the Laboratory, the Commons

Psi Activator is also a six-week campaign, and that part lives on Sutra. This site is where the playable pieces live, along with a persistent character sheet for people already taking part.

Already playing? Your personal character-sheet link was emailed to you the first time your progress synced — keep it private, it is how we recognise you. Lost it? Just ask and we will issue a new one. There is also a first look at the Map of The Field.

Everything on this server is additive to the real Sutra space, not a replacement for it. Built and maintained honestly, in the open — nothing here is simulated or fabricated.
